...IN OTHER NEWS (FAMILY & OTHERWISE):
Tio Carlos turned 90...
THAT is incredible and a great reason to truly celebrate!!! - wow wow wow --- And in his honor, Mayor Manny Diaz put in a free plug for King Cream!!! (Thanks to Carmencita for sending this along from an American Airlines magazine!) ... Note in particular the quote: "...which looks the same as when my parents took me."!
The rest of the nursing home bound crew did not fare so well... Tia Elena has a bout with her high blood pressure; Tia Carmin has a small operation; Beba had multiple situations that required hospitalization for two weeks; Lucy's asthm flared up; Tio Jorge had some serious migranes; so did Tia Maya; and Tia Mechi was not feeling too good either... Did not hear from Tia Teresa, Chucho or Tia Lila (though you never hear about Tia Lila being 'under the weather'!)
Ms. Mobley (Bev's mom - Mary Ann) is also not doing so well...
She is under chimotherapy to deal with an ugly cancer. PLEASE pray for her and consider sending her 'uplifting cards' at:
10113 Andover Point Cir

On much happier notes, summer internships are upon us and our young turks are all over the world!...
Roli & Jackie are off to Europe for the summer... I hear there's a blog somewhere out there - but we have not heard from him since he left, so we guess they are really 'getting into it'!...Carmen Yoli is off to NYC w/Elle Magazine; Ana is off to LA... Carmen & Julio are off to the Milledgeville, GA! :-)...

Visit Invest.In.Iggy.com HERE to see a rather ingenious model for investing
in tomorrow's leaders! - [hmmm... Maybe a presidential candidate will see this
and use it as the model for how we can all be part of the solution to
the increasing cost of college education!]...
More 'good wishes' for Iggy came in this month...
And the new winner is from the FRICCHIONE FAMILY – HARVARD, MA:
What a wonderful time in your life Iggy!
You are seeing the great benefits of hard work

for many future successes up the road.
You are destined to make great contributions!...
And who knows maybe an outstanding bonus with the Yankees

PARTING THOUGHT:
From Iggy's Senior Yearbook, as his favorite quote:
"I guess I was never much in awe of anybody.
I think you have to have that attitude if you're going to go far in this game." [Bob Gibson]
And in Iggy's own words:
"Graduating high school is one small win in a very long season."
Have a GREAT Father's Day!
