HEADLINES FOR THE MONTH

IGGY PITCHING IN CAL RIPKEN LEAGUE
Iggy is playing summer baseball in a fascinating 'wooden bat' league, the Cal Ripken, Jr. league.  It is a highly competitive 'collegiate' league where the best college players from throughout the country come play.  (If you saw the movie 'Fever Pitch', it is the same type league.) He is holding his own with a 2.03 ERA. See full stats HERE

IBRI & ELINA VISITED
What a joy it is to host the familia when they sotp by!  Ibri and Elina spend a beautiful couple of days here with us... ...IN OTHER NEWS (FAMILY & OTHERWISE):

FROM THE VILLAFANE KLAN (Ana Tere):

I'm participating in the Arthritis Walk again this year. I have walked in the last few years and had wonderful experiences.

Arthritis is a serious and sometimes deadly disease. Today, 1 in 5 people suffer from the pain of arthritis. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) projects that by the year 2030, 67 million people in the U.S. or 1 in 4 adults, will live with arthritis.

New this year, the Arthritis Foundation has created a national movement called Let's Move Together that encourages people to move to prevent or treat arthritis. You can help me join the movement by committing to donate to the 2009 Arthritis Walk. Together, we can help accomplish the Arthritis Foundation's vision for a world free from arthritis pain.

Just click the link HERE to go to my personal fundraising web page and donate online. You will immediately receive an email confirmation that you can print out for tax purposes.

Thank you for your support!
