TIA ELENA, R.I.P.
It was a sad sad beginning of the month, having to rush to Miami for Tia Elena's burial.  She was an elegant 83 years old... She leaves behind many many memories...

MIRANDA WILL SOON HAVE A BROTHER!
Jessica & Mario are pregnant, due in March... y siguen lluegando :-)
(We also hear that a certain someone (no, NOT Geraldina!) is also pregnant... But we'll wait until they choose to go public before publisinig the news.)

CRISTINA BATS 1000 FOR LAW SCHOOL!
5 of the USA's top Law Schools have accepted Cristina, including Harvard... It is truly gratifying to see our next generation truly succeed this way! - You go girl!!!

ANA TERE TO DEBUT IN CHANNEL 41 [MIAMI]
Ana has being asked to sing in a show in Miami's Channel 41... (Carmencita will provide more info.)

...IN OTHER NEWS (FAMILY & OTHERWISE):

CHRISTMAS IN ATLANTA WAS WAY TOOOO BRIEF... We had a wonderful time with the Fernandez on Christmas day & the Rodriguez Klan on Christmas Eve in Atlanta... And at Crawford Long Hospital Emergency Room as well - what is a trip to ATL w/o a visit to the hospital, right?... But, unfortunately we could not get around to see the many many friends - hopefully next time...

Why no pics you may ask? Well, we figure that the younger generation already has them up on Facebook and/or Flickr and they'll soon share them with all... 

We've brought Mario Sr., with us for a few weeks. Indeed, we went to ATL in two cars to accomodate his 'traveling kit', including a cooler, food, and a sundry of other items. He is recuperating from bleeding ulcers - and we hope he'll be back to where he was soon.

CUBAN FREEDOM FLIGHT DATABASE
It was simply awesome to see this database being created... It is, however, way incomplete... For example, it shows Toti and Abuela arriving December 28, 1966 - but Abuelo and I are missing... I had to submit the correction... Also: If you check it out, note that when they ask for 'first name' it may actually be your last name... Nonetheless, neat to see HERE
