*Only good news this month!

The Cuban Elvis is getting married! [For real!!!] Elvis Adan (Alicita and Juan Abel's son) is getting married in March... Hah! & you probably did not know we had an Elvis in our Familia!... Well, personally this is 'touching': When I arrived from 'the old country' (40 years ago last month!) it was Alicita who gave me my first "americano" gift - a kool plastic car kit that I promptly built and kept for many many years... (And: Bienvenida a la e-mailer Familiar, Alicita!)

Visit from Mario Sr: Mario spent a great 3 weeks with us in DC. He checked out the sites (see HERE); kept up with his news and tv shows (mostly through the internet!); and we gained about 5 pounds each (he cooked most every night!)

From Pepe & Julia: Pics from Chipi's '06 baseball season HERE. (Oh, how some of us miss those innocent days!* **)... & we hear that Pancho in Miami is also quite a player (baseball, that is!)

*For Example, Iggy is beginning to get letters of interest from some universities and opportunities to attend "showcase" camps this summer.

**And, Ana Tere is literally flying all over the country performing for potential schools and winning accalades (most recently in a State competition!)

Lastly: Some of you know that Geraldina just returned from yet another trip to Mumbai, India. She has not quite yet converted to Hindu, but, she did visit Ghandi's house... In that spirit, we share with you that Reemberto is considering changing jobs and embarking on an adventure with (the future) U.S. Department of Peace. So, you don't know that there IS - for real! - a move to create the U.S. Department of Peace? ... Hey, if there is a Department of Defense, why not a Department of Peace?... Not a bad idea, acutally!... Well, check it out HERE.
